EZJ built for herbal medicine

Herbs have been smoked or smudged for thousands of years.  There are many herbs for smoking, each with their own unique flavors and effects. Inhaling herbs into the lungs is one of the fastest ways to receive the healing benefits of the plants. My favorite herbs to smoke are ones that produce feelings of relaxation, enhanced creativity and those that put you into a higher state, I have listed some of them below.

Use Damiana as a base for herbal smoking because it burns smoothly and mixes well with other herbs. It is relaxing, eases stress and anxiety. One benefit to Damiana is it enhances creativity and connection with both yourself others, and your environment. Empathy is improved and you may find yourself more entrenched in your writing, art or meditation practice.  This herb is great for opening up with your partner, Damiana will cause you to feel more sensual in general.

Wild Dagga is an interesting herb to smoke in that it’s effects are more pronounced when mixed with other plants. On it’s own it’s effects are subtle relaxation and a mood uplift, but due it’s function as an em-pathogen.  Wild Dagga works well to enhance the effects of other herbs it is used with. So by combining Dagga with your other favorite herbs , rolling into an EZJ and smoking them produce a synergistic effect that can enhance their effects. One popular blend is Blue Lotus, Damiana and Wild Dagga.  Roll these in to an EZJ and you are well on your way to a relaxing evening. It burns well and definitely has it’s own unique flavor.

Passionflower is Used in herbal medicine to reduce nervousness, anxiety, stress and insomnia, Passionflower is another calming and relaxing herb to vaporize or smoke. Passionflower increase the levels of GABA in the brain, producing these tension relieving effects. Combining Passionflower with herbs such as Damiana and Lotus can produce a pleasant natural high. This plant can also help with nicotine addiction and withdrawal, making it a powerful ally if you are trying to quit or cut back on tobacco.

The Blue Lotus plant is a revered sacred herb that started its journey along the Nile. In Egyptian art and glyphs it is frequently seen in connection with scenes of celebration and spiritual rituals. Due to Blue Lotus’s hypnotic, consciousness altering effects users have found it to be relaxing and blissful, and in higher doses lends a euphoric feeling to the user.

Lavender, Smoke the floral, fragrant petals of the lavender flower for a mellow, tension relieving effect. Smoking Lavender calms the nerves, adds a beautiful flavor and even allows a person an easy restful sleep.

EZJ Medical Tip....Proper Humidity is critical for Organic medicine

Overly dry herb burns at the incorrect temperature.  This destroys many of the organic compounds and kills the taste we are seeking when smoking an herbal cigarette.  Living in New Mexico has taught us the importance of proper humidity.  We have tried the water pillow successfully but we still wanted something more natural.  We came across the Hyrdostone.  This time tested Humidification system is small yet very effective.  This product was developed decades ago was tested vigorously in accordance with one of the leading rolling tobacco factories in Europe.

Hydrostone is a  product is made from baked Terracotta clay and is 100% natural and additive-free and will last a lifetime when used as directed. Product is ideal for use to rehydrate or keep fresh up to 50 grams of medicine.  Simply soak the stone for 5 minutes in distilled water, as per the instructions provided, then place in a sealed container with your Medicine, and within 15 minutes you should notice your herbs moisture content refreshed.

We have found that after rolling and filling enough EZJ to last a little while is the best time to add the stone. This is way you can make sure your medicine tastes right, burns consistently and lets you taste flowers not harsh smoke.
